PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optional device for an electrical machine capable of easily matching exhaust wind volume of an electric machine and an absorbing force of an electric fan without performing variable control of a rotation speed of the electric fan.SOLUTION: The optional device for an electric machine includes: a filter 23 for cleaning exhaust air from the electric machine; and an electric fan 24. An external air introduction port 19 is provided separately from a suction port 13 for sucking the exhaust air from the electric machine. The draft resistance of the external air introduction port 19 can be adjusted. For instance, by changing an area of the external air introduction port 19, the draft resistance of the external air introduction port is adjusted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
