Fume extractor for hand welding torches - with suction pipe mounted on torch and leading to portable suction unit

Fume extractor for welding torches uses protective gas linked to the torch and has suction pipes which draw the fumes and smoke from the welding zone to a filter located in front of a side-channel compressor used to provide the suction, and a second filter can be fitted on the outlet side of the compressor before the air is blown out to the atmos. The novelty is that a suction pipe is used which consists of several sections and the side-channel compressor has a max. rating of 1 kilowatt(1.36 horsepower). The suction pipe pref. consists of a first stage with a bore of 10-20mm. and a second stage with a bore of 20-40mm. used with a compressor having a rating of 0.5-0.75 kW, and with a gas washer located in front of the first filter, both filters using cartridges with a pore dia.
