Resuscitation respirator - has mask with connected piston valve, non-return cap, and connection pipe

Respirator has a mask covering the mouth and nose of the patient and fitted with a piston valve connected to a connection pipe, with a movable valve piston and to which is fitted a non-return cap on the side remote from the connection pipe. An opening in the valve housing adjoins the end position of the valve piston on the mask side. Preferably a mouthpiece is connected to the connection pipe, and/or a hand pump consisting of 2 chambers, each enclosed by a bellows. The respirator may be used for first-aid resuscitation in cases of cardiac infarcts, gas asphyxiation, shock or drowning.
