Electro drive for cars - carries batteries in two counter-rotating flywheels with cardan transmission onto the car wheels

By arranging the batteries into the flywheels enough inertia mass is obtained without having to carry additional dead weight in the vehicle. One in motion the flywheels keep spinning even at the frequent standstills of the car, resulting in reduction of power consumption with additional benefit of space saving. The counter-rotating operation of the flywheels has a stabilising effect with inherent good road holding qualities. The electric drive of the flywheels serves at the same times as a drive for the motion of the car without the use of a separate motor. The entire assembly can be housed in a weather-protected compartment with easy access for battery change.
