Tube gripping connector - has expanding body gripping tubes for supports, scaffolding etc

The connector is particularly for use in assembling shelf supports, scaffolding etc., having an expanding body, which grips the tubes to be connected once they have been thrust onto it. It can have a lengthwise slot with a tapped hole at right angles to it in one half of the slotted section, in which a screw is inserted to expand the slot. The screw can be Allen (RTM) headed or grub screw type, and the slotted ends can be tapered for easy initial fitting of the tubes in place. The body can have ends extending in several directions, to accommodate a large number of tubes.
