The time display employs two drums which are rotated at different rates, with a number of pivoted vanes attached to the circumference of each drum. The drum providing the minutes display is associated with a continuous drive mechanism and cooperates with a cam disc via which the drum providing the hours display is intermittently rotated. Pref. the cam disc acts on an hour lever, which has a projection engaging the minutes display vane carrying the highest number, and releases the latter when the hours drum rotates to display the next hours display vane.
