Magnifier for magnifications between about ten and seventy - with simply assembled lens tube stand and light source

The magnifier has a lens at its lower end and an ocular at its upper end with a light source at the side for illumination of a sample. A stand designed to be placed over the sample has an opening for insertion of a tube containing the lens and the ocular, and a second opening on the side in which the light source is inserted, whereby the axes of the two openings intersect each other in the plane of the lower edge of the stand. The light source is pref. a pocket lamp. The ocular is telescopically adjustable in the tube arrangement.
