Feed vice with split clamping casing - has acceptor bush with tapered inner cone acting with outer cone of casing

The feed vice has a longitudinally split clamping casing to form chuck jaws to grip bar stock and an acceptor bush, into which the casing can be inserted and adjustably screwed by a thread. The casing has a tapering outer case on its periphery and the bush has a corresponding inner cone which act together to adjust the radial clamping force. The bush is in the form of a multiple slit outer casing which generates the radial clamping force and transmits it radially to the casing. The outer core is at the end region of clamping casing and is opposite to the end which is inserted into the outer clamping casing.
