<p>The system is for machines equipped with outrigger jacks and incorporates gauges on each of the jack chambers indicating either the actual pressure or variations in it. Thus any likelihood of instability, and any fault in the fluid supply, is revealed to receiver units at a central point. An immediate alarm is then given, and/or any dangerous movement stopped. A permanent indication of the state of equilibrium of the machine is also provided. The pressure can be derived directly from the jack chamber, or from one of the slide-valve chambers.</p> |
