Separator for groups of tins fed by conveyor - has retractable fingers on carriage moved faster than conveyor by rams

The machine consists of a roller conveyor which carries a number of rows of objects such as cylindrical tins. The tins are moved along on the conveyor (1) until the first tin comes up against the stop (14). The stop has a spring loading at (15) to take the initial pressure of the moving columns of tins. When the tins reach that position the fingers (19) activated by the hydraulic ram (16) move down to separate the tim from the remainder. The tins (A1, A2, A3) are then carried forward ahead of the remainder by the ram (10) which travels faster than the conveyor belt.
