The re-call and write-in system, for stored numerical data in telephone networks, has its wrie-in and call-up processes taking place over a two-wire circuit using the usual telephone handset after establishing a connection between subscriber terminal and the telephone terminal assigned to the store. The addresses in the store of required data are dialled by the caller using the handset's dialling disc or keyboard. The data from the store is transmitted over the two-wire circuit as audio signals to the handset's ear-piece. The advantage of the system lies in the simple manner in which it allows a large number of subscribers access to a central store.
|
