In the low position, it comprises a centre platform (10) with raised sides (3, 8). Two arms (2) are pivoted to each side and joined together at their ends by a float chamber (1). These have auxiliary tanks at each end which are connected by cords (5) to a handle in the platform. Further cords (42, 43) have an anchor weight and are connected to a shore line and also attached to a central cord (6). This is attached to the handle. To use the platform for diving, the handle is pulled upwards; the floats pivot inwards and the structure is raised. Pulling the central cord underneath lowers it.
