<p>1405332 Polymer coated canvas NIHON HARD COAT COMPUTER SERVICE KK 6 Feb 1973 5890/73 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] A coated canvas has a coating formed by applying a composition comprising 30 to 40 parts of aqueous polyvinyl acetate emulsion containing about 50% polyvinyl acetate, 18 to 22 parts of an aqueous acrylic resin emulsion containing about 40% of resin and 72 to 88 parts of bulk pigment, and heat drying the coating so that it has a plurality of pinholes. In examples a linen canvas is coated with a composition containing the required resins, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate and clay powder as pigments, and also an antifoaming agent, antiseptic, ammonia, carboxymethyl cellulose and sodium hexamethaphosphate and the coating is dried at 120‹C. The coated material is used in multicolour printing processes.</p> |
