The switch is controllable by a switching fitting via a pressure responsive element such as a piston or a diaphragm the switch being connected to a stop or actuating member. The medium flowing through the differential pressure switch is connected to a counter pressure chamber at the outlet side the chamber being sealed from the flow pressure side of the switching fitting by a foldable diaphragm or similar element with a movable control member which is surrounded, at least partly by the diaphragm. The diaphragm has a permanent magnet. The diaphragm surrounds also a part of a branch forming an integral part of the switching fitting head. Inside the head is formed an inserting branch, in whose bore is mounted a freely movable second permanent magnet with the same polarity as the first one.
