Low-alcohol beer prodn - by stepwise reverse osmosis and dilution

Prodn. of low-alcohol beer by diluting beer with water and performing reverse osmosis, according to the Parent Patent No. 2243800, is improved by adding water portionwise and, correspondingly, performing the reverse osmosis stepwise in a multiple osmosis apparatus. The dilution can be carried out before or after each reverse osmosis step. The economy of the process is improved, the consumption of water is reduced.
