Small cooler using peltier effect - used as e.g. fan cooler or as bottle cooler

Small cooler comprises Peltier colums which are supplied from a d.c. source, via a converter e.g. a frequency generator for producing a high frequency a.c. having a square-wave voltage gradient, with a series-connected transformer for stepping down the voltage consisting of primary and secondary coils, and a rectifier. The generator pref. provides a low ultrasonic frequency, and the transformer comprises a coreless output transformer of which the loosely coupled secondary coil has a higher number of turns than is necessary for the voltage required by the rectifier.
