Anti-inflammatory naphth-(1,2-c)-isoxazole derivs. - pref. 3-methyl-, 3-chloromethyl-and 3-dichloromethyl-4,5-dihydronaphth(1,2-c)-isoxazole

New naphth 1-2-c isoxazole derivs. of formula (I) (where R1 and R2 each is H or halogen; R3, R4 and R5 are H, halogen, 4C alkyl, alkoxy or haloalkyl, 7C acyloxy - NR6R7 in which R6 and R7 are H, 4C alkyl, Ph or acyl, OH or -NO2 and the dotted line is either a double bond or 2 H atoms) possess anti-inflammatory- and are also intermediates for chemicals, pharmaceuticals and dyes. Specif. claimed are 3-Me-, 3-chloromethyl-and 3-dichloromethyl-4,5-dihydronaphth(1,2-c)isoxazole. (I) are pref. prepd. by e.g. intramolecularly dehydrating 1-hydroxy-imino-naphtho-2-carbonyl derivs. of formula (II).
