Composite panels with metallic cores suitable for heating elements - readily fabricated for cladding and heating large structures

Composite panels incorporate a core layer of perforated metal sheet enclosed between two layers of non metallic material and where the unperforated borders of the metallic sheet are solded to form the edges of the panel. Adhesives may be used to bond the sheet to the sheating matl. The panels may be rigid or flexible. Used esp. for panels in which the core layer can act as an electrical resistance heater for fusing the interfacial surfaces of the adjacent material and/or to allow the composite panel to be used background space heating or cladding for accelerating curing of cast concrete structures; the edges of the core sheet may be exposed for use as electrical terminals.
