<p>The window unit is designed for easy installation in the window case of an old house which is undergoing renovation, without involving dirt spreading onto the surroundings, without calling for work by masons and other skilled labourers, and at low cost. Its exterior is shaped for insertion, from within the building, into the framework of an old window case, without removing this from its anchorage, and it is provided with an interior shoulded-ledge stop fitting. There may be guide-rails on the two front side battens, for a roller shutter with its box-frame lower beam formed by the cross-head of the rear window case, which is shortened by the height of the shutter box, the outer sealing walling being in the form of a panel of eternite, or similar, screwed onto the old window case.</p> |
