The sight is designed to be mounted on the forward end of the barrel of the apparatus to be aimed at a target such as a pistol, rifle, telescope, surveying instrument etc. It consists of a semi-transparent mirror with a sight mark. The optical angle crossing this mark is of a prescribed or adjusted value but is preferably in parallel to the axis of the bore of the instrument on which the sight is mounted. The sight mark can be in the form of a cross and no front sight is needed. The accuracy is independent of the length of bore of the apparatus used.
