The pillars (6) carry a support structure (1, 2) for the hood which is at least partially transparent and can envelope both saddle and handle bars. The support structure may consist of an oblong plate (1) with pivotable L-shaped support brackets (2) capable of engaging the pillars (6). The plate may further be provided with two legs (5), permitting its use as a picnic table. The brackets are attached to the rear axle of the bicycle and the front of the hood rests on the mudguard of the front wheel in advance of the handlebar shaft.
