<p>The conducting connection between the resistance and the capacitor in the circuit is made by an electronic switch which is controlled by a control signal generated by the control and synchronising unit. An output is connected conductively to an output amplifier not belonging to the ring. The capacitor can be charged to a given voltage by means of a switch. The control and synchronising unit can be a square-wave pulse generator and the control signal can be derived from the differential voltage of the a.c. voltage produced by the circuit and another a.c. voltage.</p>
