<p>A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine has a governor with two set of flyweights mounted inside a shroud on a shaft driven by the engine, one set resting behind an inner sleeve and other set behind an outer sleeve, so that as the L shaped weights are swung out by centrifugal force, the sleeves are pushed along the shaft, the outer sleeve pushing against a spring on the inner sleeve, assisting it. The inner sleeve is connected with an arm controlling a valve connected to the fuel pump, so that for fast movement, the fuel supply is increased, the inner sleeve being returned by a leaf spring as the speed is reduced. The inner sleeve has a flange at the flyweight end with slots in it to allow the flyweights to swing against the inner sleeve without obstruction.</p> |
