A matrix array of photosensitive elements arranged in a fixed storage format and constructed of metal oxide integrated circuitry is a simplification and improvement of such circuits as described in DAS 1266353 and is suitable for application in data processors, telephone systems and even programmed washing machines. The network contains a number of vertical and horizontal conductors deposited on a substrate with the crossing points of each vertical and horizontal conductor electrically insulated. At each crossing point a diode and photosensitive resistor are deposited in series, connecting the vertical to the horizontal conductors. The materials used in the deposition process are specified as Titanium, Palladium, gold and Platinum. A circuit diagram is provided.
