The switch tank (1) containing the movable contact system and also supporting the fixed contacts is cast in epoxy resin. The movable initial contacts (6), the movable permanent contacts and the movable resistance contacts (8) are carried on a switch element (9) one each of which is provided for each phase. The holding claws (13) maintain the tank in proper fixed relation with the complete load switch and stage selector. Opposite the movable contacts are fixed contacts positioned on the circumference of the tank. The fixed initial contacts (10), fixed permanent contacts (11) and fixed resistance contacts (12) are screwed onto the tank.
