PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a failure in registering a hash value of application software in a secure chip included in an image forming apparatus after the information processing apparatus has recovered from an idle state.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus including a secure chip according to the present invention comprises: determination means that determines whether the information processing apparatus has recovered from an idle state; detection means that, when the determination means determines that the information processing apparatus has recovered from the idle state, detects whether the secure chip has been initialized before starting application software; and control means that, when the detection means detects that the secure chip has been initialized, controls an operation of the information processing apparatus to prevent a hash value of the application software from being registered in the secure chip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
