1420046 Delivering sheets WINDMOLLER & HOLSCHER 21 Aug 1973 [11 Sept 1972] 39497/73 Heading B8R [Also in Division B5] An arrangement for turning flattened tube sections S through 90 degrees comprises a deflecting tongue 9 for alternately directing successive tube sections S to one of two conveyers 10 or 10<SP>1</SP> which deliver the tube sections to a respective one of two superposed rotating devices 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, each comprising double chain conveyers 51, 51<SP>1</SP> or 52, 52<SP>1</SP> carrying co-operable turntables 6, 6<SP>1</SP> or 7, 7<SP>1</SP> Control levers which are carried by the turntables 6<SP>1</SP> and 7<SP>1</SP> and engage stationary control cams 8, 8<SP>1</SP>, rotate the turntables. The movement of the deflecting tongue 9 is controlled by a crank drive 22, 23 which causes a finger 20 to hold an actuating lever 15 for the tongue while a further crank drive 18, 19 causes compression of one of a pair of springs 16, 16<SP>1</SP> mounted on a rod 17. Immediately before the arrival of a tube section S at the deflector, the finger releases the actuating lever 15 which is then moved by expansion of the compressed spring before being held once more by the finger 20 whilst the other of the springs 16, 16<SP>1</SP> is compressed. Driven rollers 11, 11<SP>1</SP> match the speed of the tube sections with that of the devices 5, 5<SP>1</SP>. |
