1421892 Uric acid standard BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM GmbH 11 Feb 1974 [13 Feb 1973] 06169/74 Heading G1B A uric acid standard comprises an aqueous buffered solution of uric acid in the form of its lithium salt and having a pH of between 6 and 8 and at least one complexing agent for the higher valency states of polyvalent heavy metal (including arsenic) ions and/or at least one alkali metal azide. The complexing agent may be malonic acid, salicylic acid, oxalic acid, cysteine, glutathione, ethylene-diamine tetraacetic acid, 8-hydroxy- quinoline, ethyl mercurithiosalicylate, ethyl mercurithiobenzoate, sodium ethyl mercurithiobenz-3, 4-oxazole-1- carboxylate or p-(ethyl mercurimercapto)-benzene-sulphonate. The azide is preferably sodium or lithium azide. |
