Shut off slider for conveyor tube - receives linear motion from angular drive with connecting arm

A pneumatic conveyor tube (9) has a shut off slider (8) which moves across the tube cross section inside a rectangular slider box (10). The slider blade is egg-shaped with a straight edge on the leading end and a pivot (7) at the other end. One end of a lever (6) is attached to pivot (7) whilst the other end is connected to the shaft of an angular drive unit. By rotating the drive shaft, the blade (8) produces a linear motion thus closing the conveyor tube. The slider can be moved quickly and can be used for tubes of different sizes.
