The appratus comprises a frame with four clamps for the tested material, two of which are fixed and the other two movable. Two commercially available electronic strain gauges are connected to the two movable clamps. there are two carriages movable by manual operation of various drives, on which the strain gauges are mounted. There is a thermocouple under the tested material and a transport system manually or automatically moves the material in accordance with a program to a chamber fillable with hot air or steam, or dips in into a liquid medium. A commercially available three-channel recording instrument simultaneously records longitudinal and transversal forces and temperature.
