Track for needle roller bearing esp. in winches - comprises steel band seated in winch drum

The band (15) is made of rolled and hardened steel and is loosely seated in a recess (14) of the interior of the drum (1'). Pref. the band projects slightly from the recess and the rollers are wider than the width of the band. The confronting ends of the band are pref. formed into an arrow head engaging an arrow tail with a small clearance (1-2% of band length) therebetween. A similar band is provided on a sleeve (7) being the stationary part of the bearing structure. The interior of the sleeve houses a hydraulic motor for driving the winch and the improved bearing assists in minimizing the radial extend of the assembly.
