Horizontal window hinge - increases friction between trunnion and bore after initial opening

The hinge is particularly for use with a window tilting on a horizontal axis, having a trunnion (16) on one part fitting in a bore (19) in the other. A device reacts to the window weight acting on one part, increasing friction between the parts after the initial opening movement. It can comprise a mounting section on which the bored pa*t slides vertically. The friction-increasing device supports the bored part and the trunnion on the mounting section after the initial opening movement. The device can have a protrusion from the mounting section actuating an elastic component increasing the friction. This component can be part of the bored part, causing the latter to grip the trunnion.
