<p>Locking unit for a vehicle safety belt with automatic windup when not in use operates when rapid changes occur in the speed or direction of the vehicle, preventing rotation of the reel, and comprises a pendulum-like unit mounted at a first end for free pivoting in all directions, and with a second end supported against a first end of a support element whose second end abuts against a support face in a housing. The pendulum unit has a planar surface with a recess or elevation, cooperating with a corresp. elevation or recess of a locking hook in the housing. When the pendulum unit pivots out from its resting position, the locking hook engages a tooth in a tooth crown which locks the reel.</p> |
