A light emitting diode based light configured for replacing a fluorescent light in a light fixture has a housing, at least one light emitting diode (LED), a power connector at a first end of the housing configured for connection to the light fixture and configured for receiving a power signal from a power source, a dimming control connector at a second end of the housing configured for receiving a dimming control signal and a power trace. The power trace is configured to carry the power signal from the power connector to the LED, and carry the dimming control signal from the dimming control connector to the power connector, such that the power signal is controlled in response to the dimming control signal. |
