The two extensions are both connected to the switching panel through normal extension lines. This connection process depends on the loop closure which occurs when an extension answers, or when it does not answer within a certain time, or when an earthing key is operated when a connection exists to the connection line to be answered. In dependence on switching means (relays A, U, B) in the redirection circuit device which extensions are to be connected to a line (L1) which is to be answered and engaged by an incoming call, and possibly which extension is to be disconnected.
