The fast-acting cut-out circuit has a fast-acting cut-out unit (3) assigned to each piece of equipment being monitored and means (13, 14) to control the switch element (6) of a locking unit (7), and a threshold unit (9), and an indicator (11) displaying the reference and actual values, and a reset unit (18) to reset the switching initiated by exceeding the threshold and to generator a signal that resets the switch element. The advantage of the cut-out circuit lies in its having a cut-out time of the order of milliseconds and in its being capable of monitoring several pieces of equipment independently.
