Passenger entertainment and information system - with sound commentary synchronized with vehicle speed and distance travelled

The system employs specially programmed sound reproducing equipment. A control unit controls the interaction between the vehicle and the reproducing equipment in such a way that stored data on the area through which the vehicle is driving is played back in synchronism with the passage of the vehicle through the area. Pref. the sound reproduction speed is synchronised with the distance travelled for a given maximum vehicle speed. Pref. at low vehicle speed the playback is interrupted for a short time, and an intermission occurs if the vehicle is forced to stop through unexpected obstacles.
