发明名称 OPERATING MECHANISM FOR SLIDABLE GATES TO CONTROL FLOW OF MATERIAL FROM A BOTTOM-POUR VESSEL
摘要
1420870 Foundry vessels USS ENGS & CONSULTANTS Inc 29 March 1973 [26 Oct 1972] 15203/73 Heading F4B A bottom-pour foundry vessel having a sliding gate to control the flow of molten metal has a gate-operating cylinder mounted on the side wall acting on the gate through a connecting link 38 and a bell-crank lever 63. The link 38 is a tube, slidably mounted in a fixed guide 34 and carying a hook piece 41 to be engaged with a pin on the cylinder. The piston-rod 37 of the cylinder is fixed to a bracket 32 by a pin 45 which can be withdrawn to allow the cylinder to be disconnected from the hooked member 41 and removed. The bell-crank lever is also disconnectible when the gate is to be removed. The tube 38 is cooled by air supplied through a hose 68.
