Multiple injection mould esp. for elastomer seals - has balancing duct cross connecting mould feeds to improve quality

An injection mould for making articles of natural and/or synthetic elastomers comprises >=2 part-moulds and contains a large no. of mould voids, each supplied through an inlet from one of the sprue ducts branched from the main injection duct to the mould; between the sprue ducts and mould inlet there is a balancing duct supplied from the sprue duct by a channel corresp. to and opposite to each mould void and mould inlet; this balancing duct is continuous and typically is parallel to the sprue duct. The mould is used e.g. for making sealing rings and other sealing elements. High quality mouldings are obtd., requiring no after-treatment to remove flash and sprues.
