Insulating and facing plates or boards consisting of granulated plastics and rubber waste and setting resins as binding agent are produced as endless bands of sheet material of maxim uniformity in construction, the binding agent being concentrated in the voids between the granulated and the granulate not being compressed so that it does not expand later; the whole process comprises a continuous flow of material from the feed of raw materials to the discharge of the finished band. The process is continuous, by comparison with intermittent conventional processes. This leads to improved economy and higher quality in the finished prodt.
