The illumination means consists of a holding frame with attached slide-on connector for watch straps. The frame is fitted with sections fitting together only in the prescribed order and providing foolproof method of assembly. The illumination element contains a battery, a lamp and a pressure key. The depressing of the key closes the circuit and provides an independent lighting source. The illumination system can be removed from the wrist watch strap and used for the illumination of key holes etc.
