HYDROGEN GENERATING METHOD AND HYDROGEN GENERATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating method and a hydrogen generating device for generating hydrogen from MgHat low energy consumption so that MgO is generated and no Mg(OH)is generated as a residue.SOLUTION: MgHand water are reacted under steam atmosphere pressure and temperature where Mg(OH)does not stably exist and MgO stably exists, obtained from a phase diagram representing steam pressure and temperature where Mg(OH)and MgO can exist thermodynamically stable exist respectively. Hydrogen is generated from MgHso that no Mg(OH)is generated and MgO is generated as a residue at lower temperature than conventional. As reaction temperature is lower than conventional, hydrogen and MgO can be generated by lower energy consumption than conventional and therefor cost for generation is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
