PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oven-type heating cooker readily performing cooking such as stew cooking.SOLUTION: A heating cooker includes: a heating chamber 2 functioning as an oven chamber; a metallic plate 9 which is stored in the heating chamber 2 and on which food is placed; a hot air unit and/or upper and lower heaters functioning as oven heating means for heating the inside of hermetically closed heating chamber 2. The metallic plate 9 having a depth of 40 mm or more is set in the heating chamber 2 so as to enable oven cooking by hot air or infrared rays. Food suitable for being stewed or boiled is placed on the metallic deep plate 9 having the depth of 40 mm or more and the food is only cooked in the heating chamber 2 with the oven heating means to readily perform various kinds of cooking such as stew cooking or boil cooking.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
