1437556 Band saws A K ERIKSSON AB 16 Sept 1974 [19 Sept 1973] 40300/74 Heading B5L In a band saw for sawing logs, wherein the upper, 3 of two band wheels is journalled on a generally horizontal axis shaft carried by a beam 6 vertically movable by a fluid pressure hydraulically operated band tensioning jack 4, the beam is bolted or welded fast with the jack cylinder or, as shown, piston 5, the shaft 7 is tiltable about a transverse horizontal shaft 8 fast with the beam 6 by a manually rotatable screw 9, and the beam is rotationally adjustable and fixed about the jack vertical axis by a manually adjustable and nut-lockable screw 17, 18 acting between the beam and the fixed part of the jack. A safety stay 11 is provided to prevent jack piston and cylinder separation in the event of saw band breakage. |
