PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermosetting resin molded article, for reducing a cost of manufacturing and forming a glaze coating layer having uneven shading on at least one molding surface of an inner surface and an outer surface, and a thermosetting resin molded article.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a thermosetting resin molded article includes: a step of compression-molding a base material with a mold having a concavo-convex portion engraved in at least one of upper and lower cavity surfaces so as to produce uneven thickness between molding surfaces to form a thick portion and a thin portion and to mold a concavo-convex surface, and then forming a retention part in the thick portion opposing to the concavo-convex surface; and a step of forming a glaze coating layer on the molded base material on a side opposing to the concavo-convex surface. The thermosetting resin molded article includes: molded surfaces having a retention part on at least one surface of the inner surface and the outer surface, the retention part having gradually increased depth from the one surface side to the other; a glaze coating layer comprising a thick film portion with a larger amount of the glazing material flowing into the one surface side where the retention part is formed, and a thin film portion thinner than the thick film portion; and a display part comprising the thick film portion and the thin film portion on at least one of the molded surfaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
