<p>Resin-insulated (transformer) winding consists of spirally-wound conducting foil or ribbon with insulating layers between the windings, the conductor having an embossed, pierced or perforated network. The insulation pref. consists of a porous, permeable insulating web, esp. a (nonwoven) glass fibre or polyester fabric, impregnated with resin which is not completely cured. The shear strength and adhesion between the conductor and insulation are improved so that the winding can be regarded as a uniform body w.r.t. stress-strain and no delamination occurs.</p> |
