<p>The digital signal transmission system between two terminals (1, 2) along lines (3, 4) connected one in each direction passes through a modulo-2 adder (8, 9) at each end of one of the lines. Between the lines is a cross-connection unit (5) with a sliding closure contact (6), which is the only component used in the prior art system. In another embodiment, the other transmission line also has modulo-2 adders near the ends connects to the corresp adder in the other line by a two-way switch, one of which represents the binary "O" combination and the other the binary "1" combination. A "truth" table is provided to represent the combinations of data conversion conversions for various positions of the switches and adders.</p> |
