PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicament delivery device to simplify removal of needle shields.SOLUTION: A medicament delivery device comprises: a housing 10 configured to receive a medicament container 16 having a delivery member 20 and a shield; and a protective cap 26. The protective cap comprises connecting means for connecting to the shield of the medicament container such that removal of the protective cap from the housing causes removal of the shield from the medicament container. The delivery device is characterized in that a protective cap assembly has first disconnecting means configured to interact with corresponding second disconnecting means of the housing and of the protective cap such that activation of the first disconnecting means of the protective cap assembly causes displacement of the protective cap relative to the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
