PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which an electrode of a cartridge and a contact of an installing portion can be electrically stably contacted.SOLUTION: In a system, an ink cartridge 30 is inserted/extracted in/from a cartridge installing portion 110. The ink cartridge 30 is equipped with a substrate supporting portion 84 supporting an IC substrate 85 formed with an electrode. The cartridge installing portion 110 is equipped with a slider 170 mounted with a contact 121 and formed with a first wall 171 and a second wall 172. In an installing process of the ink cartridge 30 to the cartridge installing portion 110, the slider 170 is changed from a second posture enabling the first wall 171 to abut on the substrate supporting portion 84 to a first posture superimposing the second wall 172 on a moving track of the substrate supporting portion 84 and enabling the contact 121 to abut on the electrode, while being pushed by the ink cartridge 30. In an installation completion state, the slider 170 takes the first posture.
