A composite glass pane is made, esp. for sound insulation, and using >=2 panes. One pane is laid horizontally on a bed, and a sealant forming a spacer frame is applied round the edges of the pane. A second pane is then laid on the adhesive and bonded, esp. using pressure. Tubes are temporarily inserted in the sealing frame and employed to inject a hardenable, transparent liq. plastic into the gap between the two frames; and the air in the gap is forced out through other tubes located in the sealant. The injection tubes are pref. located at >=1 corners of the frame, whereas the air outlet tubes are located in diagonally opposite corners; and suction can be used to assist air removal. A calculated dose of the liq. plastic is pref. employed which corresponds with the vol. of the gap between the panes; and pressure can be applied to the panes to prevent their distortion during injection. A simple and inexpensive mfg. process which avoids the presence of air bubbles in the plstic used between the two glass panes.
|
